Description
Deriva-BPO Gel is a topical medication used to treat acne (pimples) and remove the skin’s upper dead layer. Acne occurs when hair follicles become clogged with oil and dead skin cells, leading to bacterial growth, redness, and swelling. This gel combines two active ingredients—Adapalene and Benzoyl Peroxide. Adapalene, a retinoid (vitamin A derivative), works by loosening skin cells, unclogging pores, and reducing oil production to prevent pimples, whiteheads, and blackheads. Benzoyl Peroxide, a keratolytic agent, helps remove dead skin cells, soften the skin, and kill acne-causing bacteria with its antibacterial properties.
Deriva-BPO Gel is for external use only and should be applied as directed by your doctor. Avoid contact with sensitive areas like the eyes, mouth, and nose. Common side effects may include dryness, redness, irritation, or mild burning, which usually subside with regular use. It is advisable to avoid applying the gel on broken or sunburned skin and to limit sun exposure, as it can increase sensitivity. Protective clothing and sunscreen are recommended during use. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before application. When used correctly, Deriva-BPO Gel helps unclog pores, reduce inflammation, prevent acne scars, and improve overall skin texture, leading to clearer and healthier-looking skin.
